Guidance Philosophy

I believe that all students have unique and amazing gifts to bring to our world, to our community, and to our school.  It is my hope that, while students become well rounded academically, they are also staying well mentally and emotionally.  It is my wish to support all CBMS students in this process.  I do not believe in solving student's problems.  I believe in supporting them while they discover answers and solutions for themselves.  It is also my goal to help students learn to positively reflect on their individual worth so that they may understand the value of their unique contributions to the world.  Lastly, I feel that it is imperative to teach students about personal responsibility for their school work, in their relationships, and to themselves.  May we all learn to look inward for guidance in all life's situations.
